The LCH.Clearnet COTS (Commercial Off The Shelf) Tools Support team operates in a challenging multiplatform environment with over 300 users with varying familiarity of the toolsets it provides. The Team provide a number of tools to support primarily the Service Management, Development, Project Management, and Release Management disciplines.
The ideal candidate would be a python/jython programmer with at least 2 years of programming experience who will benefit from intense training in a number of the specific tools with a view to becoming an SME (Subject Matter Expert) for those tools. Additionally there would be training in ITIL, and Configuration, Environment and Release management methodologies. The training programme is designed to ultimately equip the candidate with the ability to develop/enhance, implement and support robust live services.
Key tasks of this role will be:
o Packaging applications in BladeLogic for deployment and auditing
o Maintaining and enhancing the BladeLogic infrastructure
o Support for the BMC ITSM suite
o Support for the BMC Performance Manager (formerly Patrol) infrastructure
