Daniel was appointed Chief Executive Officer, LCH Group in October 2017.
As CEO Daniel is responsible for achieving new business growth, maintaining and building existing customer relationships, and driving innovation and efficiency across the Group, while ensuring LCH’s risk and resilience is fully safeguarded. Building on his strong track record of innovation, delivery and control, Daniel is also responsible for the development of an integrated global product strategy and its execution.
Prior to being appointed as CEO, Daniel was most recently Group COO. Daniel joined LCH in 1999, and during his 16-year career at LCH, Daniel has had involvement in, and responsibility for, risk management, default management, product management, regulatory strategy, programme delivery, sales, marketing and operations across LCH’s SwapClear service. In 2014, after returning from four years in the US, where he started and built out LCH’s North America operations and led SwapClear’s client clearing franchise, Daniel took on the role of Global Head of SwapClear and subsequently took responsibility for LCH’s ForexClear and Listed Rates services, and the initiation of LCH’s SwapAgent service. Previously, Daniel worked at JPMorgan from 2005 to 2008 before returning to LCH on 1 September 2008, where he was immediately responsible for the successful trading and unwinding of Lehman Brothers’ LCH-cleared bond and repo portfolio.
Daniel is also a member of London Stock Exchange Group’s Executive Committee.
Martin Pluves is CEO of LCH Ltd.
Martin joined LCH in November 2009 and has 20 years financial services experience spanning exchange trading, OTC clearing and financial services regulation. Prior to his appointment to CEO in January 2015, Martin held the role of COO for LCH Ltd, led the programme to launch ForexClear and was responsible for leading the EMIR authorisation of the French and UK CCPs.
Prior to LCH, Martin worked for 14 years at PA Consulting where he was elected Partner in the Financial Services practice and was a Member of the Management Group. Martin led work with clients including LCH, London Metal Exchange, London Petroleum Exchange, Irish Financial Services Regulatory Authority and the Irish Stock Exchange.
He holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree from Loughborough University and completed the Programme for Leadership Development at Harvard Business School.
Christophe Hémon is CEO of LCH SA, LCH's French operating CCP.
Christophe graduated from French Business Schools.
Christophe started his career at JP Morgan where he held various positions in the Operations business of investment banking.
In 1993, Christophe joined Morgan Stanley, becoming Head of Operations in Paris, then Head of Operations for continental offices - Paris, Frankfurt, Zurich, Milan and Madrid. He was responsible for all business streams including equities, fixed income, derivatives, commodities and participated in major EU and market place projects.
In 2003, Christophe joined SA, former LCH SA, as General Secretary responsible for Risk, Finance, Legal and Membership issues and Treasury. He became Chief Executive Officer in November 2004.
Christophe serves on the Board of Directors of the Association Française des Professionnels des Titres (AFTI).
Matt joined LSEG in March 2010 in Corporate Finance and worked on the TMX, FTSE and LCH transactions before taking on the Business Lead role for the LCH Integration. In 2014 Matt was appointed to be the Group Head of Business Finance and Performance where he is responsible for the commercial side of Finance including the Budget, business plan, various ad hoc organic project responsibilities and sub chairs the Group’s Investment Committee. Through 2016 and early 2017, Matt had a lead role in the proposed merger with Deutsche Börse. In August 2017, Matt took on additional responsibilities as LCH Group and LCH Ltd CFO. Previously he has worked in BDO Stoy Hayward and KPMG where he was involved in over 30 transactions of various types. Matt is qualified as a chartered accountant (ACA) and has a BSC honours in Mathematics from the University of Bristol.
John Horkan is the COO of LCH Group, and Head of North America. In these roles, he works in partnership with LCH’s regulated CCPs to execute the group’s integrated global strategy.
Prior to joining LCH as an Executive Director of SwapClear US in 2012, John spent 19 years at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and J.P. Morgan, where he spearheaded efforts on global regulatory reform, business strategy, client management, and technology.
John holds a Bachelor of Science degree in political science and economics from Hamilton College in Clinton, New York.
Diane Bouwmeester is General Counsel and Head of Compliance for LCH Group. In this role, Diane is responsible for managing all legal and regulatory compliance matters affecting the Group and its subsidiaries. She is a member of the LCH Group Executive Committee.
Diane joined LCH from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP, where she was a Senior Associate in the financial services regulatory practice. Prior to that role, she was a partner at a leading South African law firm.
She holds a B.A and LLB from The University of The Witwatersrand in South Africa and an LLM with honours from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Dennis has over 20 years experience in risk management and finance. He joined LCH from AON where he was the CEO for Innovation and Analytics. Previous to that he was a Managing Director in Finance & Treasury and Risk at Merrill Lynch and was Director of Capital, Global Consumer Group at Citigroup.
Dennis started his finance career as a consultant in the Global Risk Management practice at McKinsey where he focused on the risk management of Traded Products and the development of risk systems and analytical algorithms. Prior to that Dennis was a professor at Princeton University where he taught mathematics and quantitative finance.
Dennis has an MBA from Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Brown University and a MA in Mathematical Science from University College Dublin.
Alison has joined as interim HR director for LCH and will focus on establishing the people strategy for LCH. She previously spent 18 months as interim HR director to the COO at LSEG, building a new leadership team and establishing offshoring.
Prior to joining LSEG Alison was divisional HR director for Aviva UK, divisional HR director for Wholesale Markets and Trading at Lloyds Banking Group, HR director for General Re Financial Products, and vice president in HR at J.P.Morgan.
She is currently studying for a doctorate in business administration at Warwick Business School, recently completed the Sloan Masters in Leadership and Strategy at London Business School, and has a first degree from the University of Cambridge.
Anthony P. McCarthy is Interim CIO for LCH Group and Ltd. In this role, Tony is accountable to the CCP CEOs for the provision of IT services in each CCP. He is a member of the LCH Group Executive Committee.
Previously he was a Managing Director in IT at Deutsche Bank and was the Group CIO for the bank from March 2011 through November 2013. Before this, he was the CIO for Investment Banking Technology within Deutsche Bank’s Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB). He spent his first 12 years with the bank based in New York, and spent his last 5 years from August 2009 through July 2014 based in London.
Prior to joining Deutsche Bank in 1997, Tony worked at Morgan Stanley for 12 years during which time he had a five-year assignment in Tokyo, from where he assumed the role of Head of Far East IT for three of those years.
Tony received a BS in Chemical Engineering from Clarkson University and a MBA from the State University of New York at Albany. He was voted ‘CIO of the Year 2007’ from The Banker magazine and was named ‘Best CIO in 2009’ from the American Financial Technology Awards.
Phil is the Global Head of Sales and Relationship Management, leading the Sales and Relationship Management Team across LCH Group and is a member of the LCH Executive Committee. He is responsible for overseeing and expanding LCH’s footprint and implementing go –to-market strategies with the senior management of the Rates, FX, Fixed Income, Equities and CaLM businesses.
Prior to joining LCH, Phil led the Rates & Transaction services globally within Fixed Income Division of Thomson Reuters. He served as Chief Dealer, with responsibility for risk and credit management in various treasury-trading functions including Short Term Rates, Forward FX and Emerging Markets desks at Société Générale and held Senior Trading roles at Westpac and SBC. Besides these roles, he has led his own financial markets consultancy, advising on clearing and FX platforms and Rates implementation (including at Commerzbank).
Greg Hawkes is Global Head of Operations for the LCH Group. Greg is accountable for the day to day processing and control environment for our clearing and collateral operations ensuring that we perform efficiently and effectively within our operating standards. He is a member of the LCH Group Executive Committee.
Greg has over 20 years experience within the OTC derivative markets having led the product control, operations and project delivery functions within leading investment banks. Greg led the Barclays Capital team in the launch of SwapClear in 1999 and ran the LCH Refresh program to install a scalable and performant platform on the which the businesses has grown since 2011.
Greg holds a bachelor of science degree in accounting & computer science from New Hampshire College.
Michael Davie is Global Head of Rates. In this role he is responsible for overseeing SwapClear, the Listed Rates clearing business and the launch and evolution of LCH SwapAgent. Michael will also continue to drive innovation, including capital optimisation through LCH's compression services; delivering the next phase of LCH's portfolio margining services and exploring further opportunities in the uncleared OTC market. Michael has considerable experience in the derivatives industry gained from working at banks and previously at LCH. Most recently he has been the Head of Rates Services at LSEG, overseeing the launch of CurveGlobal, for which he will remain Chairman. Michael has served on the boards of Markit, TradeWeb and other industry bodies and is a zoology graduate from Oxford University.
Frank Soussan began his financial career as a credit correlation trader at Société Générale in New York.
From there he moved to the Credit Exotics trading desk at JP Morgan in London where he spent six years managing their Exotics and Structured Trading group.
At the end of 2012, Frank moved to the buy-side, with Renshaw Bay to be a Senior Portfolio Manager for the Credit Special Opportunities Fund.
He joined LCH Group in November 2014.
Frank graduated from the Ecole Nationale de la Statistique et de l'Administration Economique (ENSAE) in Paris with a MSc in Statistics and Econometrics.
He also holds a MSc in Mathematics in Finance from the Courant Institute at New York University (NYU).
Paddy Boyle is the Global Head of LCH’s ForexClear service.
Prior to joining LCH in 2016, he spent 16 years at Goldman Sachs, where he was a partner and Global Head of FX Options. He was a member of the Bank of England’s FX Joint Standing Committee from 2013 to early 2014.
Paddy received his BA and Master’s in Mathematics from Trinity College, University of Cambridge, in 1997.
ForexClear was designed in consultation with members and customers to deliver the very best in risk and default management practices to the Foreign Exchange markets, and as the first global FX NDF clearing service it has now cleared over $11 trillion and 1.3 million trades.
Bruce Kellaway is Global Head of RepoClear, EquityClear and Collateral, at LCH. He also runs the Collateral and Liquidity Management business, responsible for investing and managing the cash and non-cash collateral across the CCPs.
Bruce joined LCH.Clearnet in September 2014 from Lloyds Banking Group, where he was most recently Managing Director of Rates Trading. Prior to this, Bruce held roles as Interim Head of Trading and MD of Swaps. During 20 years with Lloyds he was instrumental in building a successful and focused rates trading function and creating a leading GEMM (Gilt-Edged Market Maker) from scratch.
Bruce is married with four children and enjoys skiing and cycling.
