Graham Wright – Independent
Graham Wright is currently CISO and Global Head of Digital Risk for National Grid, a position he has held since 2014, with responsibility for digital and cyber security at the Gas and Electrical Transmission organisation at the core of the UK Critical National Infrastructure infrastructure provider and a major provider in the US. Prior to this role, Graham spent four years at global security company Northrop Grumman, where he was responsible of establishing and developing the UK arm of the business to provide cyber intelligence capabilities in Europe.
Graham had a distinguished career as an operational pilot for 30 years in the Royal Air Force which culminated in him being appointed Force Commander of the RAF Jaguar Force. He also held several senior cyber security and intelligence roles within the Ministry of Defence and Central Government including as Deputy Director of the Office of Cyber Security in The Cabinet Office. He is a member of a number of security industry bodies and is currently Chairman of the Energy Emergency Executive Committee (Cyber) - a pan sector body representing the gas and electrical industry in its relationship with government and the regulators, and has participated in the G7 Cyber talks. He maintains strong links with Government and academia and currently serves on the advisory boards of the Oxford University International Cyber Security Capacity Building Centre and Cyber Doctoral Training Centre. He is also a member of the Governor of Rhode Island’s Cyber Commission;
He has a BSc in Applied Biological Sciences from the West of England University and has twice been included in the New Years’Honours list.
